My strategy for a good start in Minecraft

What I have done for the Minecraft files I have done well in is in the beginning, I punch trees! And, of course, get tons of wood planks in the process. Then I take a little time to find a small island, slightly bigger than the house I will build. Then I build the house on the island and make a crafting table, sword, and possibly a chest. In my files I generally got this all done before night. If the game is not set in peaceful mode, this strategy is made to prevent monsters on your first night in Minecraft, and for me it usually works. Good luck!
